Well...over the summer I had to read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn for my AP class. It is a very good book, and short, i highly recommend it, especially if you like thought provoking reads.
Anyway a main theme or idea in Ishmael is Mother Culture. And what Mother Culture is, is the voice/story that our civilization follows without even realizing we are doing it. And thanks to a friends blog and recent events of JK Rowling announcing Dumbledore is/was gay, I got the idea for this blog.
Why is it that we let society and our peers think for us? Why cant we make our own decisions? And why is it that if someone has a different view from everyone else, they are labeled in a usually cruel manor by their peers? Things like this are what stops new ideas from rising, if people are afraid of what their peers will think they'll keep their mouth shut! And its also why some people dont know their friends as well as they thought.
Most people are hardly their full self at all times. Probably each part that you may see are a part of the person yet with different people another part shows and in different situations. And unless a person is 100% comfortable with another, I think they will never be themselves.
Hmmm...thats it i guess.

Eww! You Do That...
It occurred to me, that America is a great country. It allows its citizens to believe in multiple religions, but the people arent tolerant of those religions or traditions of those religions. And this is really leading to something else. Also other countries probably have less pressure for appearances.
Now, heres what Im getting at. Here in America if you're a girl and you dont shave your legs by the time your in middle school, people make fun of you or criticize you...so much for looks dont matter right. The same with clothes...Im going a little something here but...take underwear, if girls dont wear thongs there considers i dont know..prude? But does anyone ever consider what parent say and that could effect the way the girl dresses and grooms. And why do like 90% of young girls wear make-up? Its stupid, you shouldnt need to hide your face just to get guys to like you or so people wont mock you.
I really had another thought to blog about...that was school related, but I kinda forgot it.

Achoo!! Ick...
Being sick in high school really sucks! Well if nothing exiting is happening then no it doesnt. Like its fine to stay home in middle school, but in high school different things usually happen everyday.
Ok, my dad asked if i wanted to stay home tomorrow...I would have said yes. But I said not really, cause I have to do something very important and 10th graders have to take the PSAT tomorrow.
In high school the teachers seem to be more "Ohh I need to see an excused note." I mean it really shouldn't matter if we skip school once in awhile. School seems to be a little jail, especially the way my school is, its a free country so why is it if a police officer catches you outside school, during school, you get in to trouble? Its ridiculous.
It is nice, though, to be catered to by your parents. :D
Im sorry for any crappyness of this blog.

Homecoming!
Ok, im doing this now because i dont like doing two posts in one day and i thought the poem was more important. Ohh and I'm done trying to find a guy to do their opinion, if you are a guy, i know you, and you want to say your opinion on girls let me know.
So homecoming is awesome...showing spirit for your school is what high school is all about...well not really but whatever. I really think that seniors from last year are supposed to comeback but they didn't.
What rocks is winning your homecoming game 38:7, having an awesome dance, and for the ladies getting hair&nails done, getting a dress and jewelry.
Dancing is great...such a fun way to express yourself....
And yes, i realize this post is mostly random thoughts.

I'll Wait
This is a poem i wrote after the homecoming dance.
does he even know
or does he not care?
can he see my pain
knowing hes right there.
i watch, i wait.
he stares, too late.
time goes by its all the same.
how much longercan i play this game?
i play, i grin
he lives, who'll win?
does he know its
killing me slowly?
or he's acting
ohh so coldly?
i blink my eye.
tonight flies by.
he is nowhere
to be found.
even though
i look around.
i know, i'll wait
you cant rush fate.
does he even know
or does he not care?
can he see my pain
knowing hes right there.
i watch, i wait.
he stares, too late.

Pleasant Suprises
Im sure a lot of you clean your room, and maybe once a year you actually go through all your stuff and it takes you forever to clean because you're reading a year book, looking at pictures, or finding stuff you havent seen since you were 8.
Well I wasnt exactly cleaning, more like throwing papers away that were on my floor. Then I found a note...I didnt know it was a note till I opened it. Im not going to say everything it said, but it started out "you look down" and ended "i hope it made you smile." Surprisingly it did make me smile, even inspired me to blog about it.
It was written by a friend of mine and it just made me think...even if we arent as close as we once were they'll almost always be there for me. I just find it a little strange that I found it now, havent seen it in a year...and now when I havent been as happy as normal, I find it. Its cool how the world works.

Look at Them, They're Every Where...
BOYS!!
Im really sorry to all the guys I know, for this post, but I need to get this out and maybe I'll be better. I know its weird, but I promise I'll find a guy to write a...umm...whats the word? I dont know...whatever... a thing like what Im gonna do only about girls. And if that sentence made any sense then whoo!
Guys! what their deal? Most, more like all, the guys i know are great people to know. Really. But WHY do they have to be so confusing. I mean yea girls hardly stick to one guy, but when they do, they tell or make it known that they like the guy. Weather or not the guy likes her back...but you would think the kind thing to do is tell the girl...let her move on. Its really not that hard, its not like we're gonna break...maybe temporarily hurt but what doesnt kill you makes you stronger (and no thats not from the song) and the sooner the girl knows he doesnt like her the easier it'll be to move on.
And would it kill a guy to actually share what he thinks or feels!? Most likely not. You try to talk to one and you get one word answers (unless you're Jacob Black...yep i finished it) then they wonder why girls talk so much...we gotta fill the space some how.
Why do guys all ways feel they gotta show off? It normally makes them look immature or stupid...no offence...but mouthing off to a teacher or purposely annoying someone or making fun of someone is NOT cool. Like skate bored tricks or and unusual talent or a current hobby is fine...its ok to be proud of that kind of stuff.
I love them...really sometimes they are better friends than girls, and you can just talk and not worry about their opinion cause they normally wont share it (yes, i am aware that im kinda contradicting myself) and sometimes girls need to just talk...kinda like a psychologist, haha im funny(inside my own head, inside joke). Its just they can cause a girl soo much misery, even if they dont mean it and if they do mean it then they are jerks.

And The Drama Queen Is...
I love drama! and i mean both Drama in theater and as problems in school/social life. I mean too much people drama is not good, but in small amounts its entertaining.
Now what i really love is Drama. Everyone is sooo supportive. When i went to audition for the play, i loved how everyone cheered each other on no matter what...if someone was scared they were encouraged. Personally, i think Drama people are super easy to become friends with, they accept practically everyone...but if you think about it most kids in school are accepting to some degree. But I LOVE how there is so much randomness...i live on random. Yeppers...Im gonna be putting more about this in the future cause Im in the play.
For people drama, its just fun. There're guys (or girls..appealing to the sexes here), grades, friends, and family. Its EVE-RY-WHERE! You just have to look hard enough...even if you dont think you have drama you probably do. Im not gonna deny it but i have drama too...most of these blogs are probably the result of drama.
Thats probably enough for now.
