"Pondering How Much Forgivenss Is Too Much?"

That has been in my status on myspace since yesterday....I hadn't really been thinking about it that much, but I knew I wanted to forgive the person referred to in my last post. I knew that I have forgiven them so much, that why should I forgive them now? The worst thing they have done to me. (granted it was mearly insulting) Why should I forgive them knowing that they probably don't deserve it?

But something inside me clicked yesterday saying "you need to get over it." WHY!? I could just go on never talking to them again, forgetting everything they ever meant to me; I would probably be better off...but I cant do that. I cant strike someone from my life, I wont allow myself to.

So I went to church tonight, and during worship we sang "Your Love Never Fails" and during that song my question was answered, and a new one arose. You see part of the song goes:

I know I still make mistakes, But You have new mercies for me everyday, Your love never fails. You stay the same through the ages, Your love never changes. There maybe pain in the night but joy comes in the morning. And when the oceans rage I don't have to be afraid, Because I know that You love me Your love never fails.
So that reminded me of what my pastor said...about how God forgives us for everything that we do if we ask for forgiveness, because Jesus sacrificed himself for us.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. ~John 3:16

To Him all the Prophets bear witness, and testify that through His name all who believe in Him receive the forgiveness of their sins. ~Acts 10:43

If God can forgive me like that, forgive every person on the planet for everything that they do badly..why shouldnt I forgive that person? So I have decided to forgive that person if they ask me too. And the new question that arose was what happens the next time? What if its worse? Will I be able to handle that? The answer to that: Yes. God brings people into your life for a reason...I trust Him, that this person was brought into my life to help me grow into who Im supposed to be.
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.~Matthew 6:12

Hopefully Im not being stupid.

You are amazing.

And you're not stupid, by the way.
