Take A Giant Leap!

Haha! Like that pun? I knew you would. I was thinking weather or not I should post about what Im going to post about now, or do it tomorrow. Guess what I decided now because its a leap day and who knows if I’ll still have this blog in 4 years.

The title also goes with the topic Im talking about.

Today in one of my classes someone said something along the lines of "you know that kid who.... he’s such a fagot." That really annoyed me because I know the kid he was talking about and know he is a homosexual. I told the person in my class to stop and you know what he said to me? "Shut up" What the heck? You get to mock someone about a choice they made and I cant even ask you to stop?

Anyway, who cares if someone is gay? If your best friend came out to you, would you say "Ohh I cant hang out with you anymore." If you would, your pretty shallow and insecure about your own sexuality and yet, you criticize those who have made a decision and are comfortable about it.

If the only thing you know about this person is something like "he carries a purse" or "is a freshmen" you have NO RIGHT to make a judgment about him. And the truth is I didnt even know he was gay until he told me, so its not something you can tell just by looking at someone. *cough*in class*cough*

Im done talking about the people in my class now.

And maybe the guys that mock gay guys are jealous, because to be honest, most gay guys are HOT! And mocking something like sexuality is like mocking someone for being a brunette/blonde/red head, it doesnt matter.

If Everyone Cared...

I saw this video when Nickleback first released the song, which I like very much and just wanted to share it with you.

This is gonna be a reminder post for me as well because I wanna go on about how much emphasis people put on "Famous" peoples live more, and talk about National Honors Society (NHS).

Clean Up Clean Up, Everybody Do Your Share....

To bad not everybody does their share of cleaning up. This Saturday I spent 4 hours picking up trash off the side of a road with my best friends. And there was still more trash. I felt great doing it too. We had fun and yelled at the people in the cars. Occasionally people beeped their horns, but no one got out and helped. I mean I understand people have their own agenda but so did the people that helped. We were still there.

I may have given 4 hours but that time was great. I got sunburned and cant walk without being in pain, but i wouldnt do Saturday any differently.

You Really Dont Care...

I realize this post falls close to Valentines Day, but it has nothing to do with that. I was just thinking about a few posts ago; with the "Help the homeless youth" image.

That only needs 1 million people to put their name on it. They dont ask for any information except a name and zip code and to be above 13 years old. The United States has more than 300 million people in it; with more than half owning computers with Internet. Most of them spend their time doing meaningless stuff, like myspace, online poker, looking at youtube videos, or just staring at the screen.

Then I think about how many people care/pay attention to "famous" people, like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. If half as many people cared as much about organizations like "Homeless Youth Among Us" as they did about Britney Spears, the world would be a better place.

For example, I posted a Bulletin with the image in it that asked to repost it, only one person reposted it. Im glad she did but and it is defiantly better than no one reposting, but thats just sad. If I had posted a survey, at least 3 people would have copied it and filled it out, which takes more time than copy-paste. 3 is better than 1.
